Some Catching Up?

My O My!!! I think that its about time for me to catch you all up on some of what I have been up to these past few months! I'm so sorry that I have been missing for so long!
We have been busy moving and trying to get settled in again, getting used to the new surroundings, and catching up on everything. Its just been plain hectic!
Anyway, I am back and I have some really fun things to show to all of you today.
About a month ago I walked into a Staples and saw that they have already started their back to school sales, I'm a total sucker for these sales! I was walking around filling my shopping cart with all sorts of dollar and penny items. One of the items that caught my eye was a small clear green clipboard. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I had to do with it! I quickly finished my shopping and took off for home. Once I got home I just threw everything on the couch and dug out this clipboard and got to work.
Before I started my little Project
I picked out masculine type paper and fun embellishments to match such as bold brads, owls, and metal tags. The project I chose to take on with this was a Honey Do List. I've never made one before and thought that it would be a great quick project. (*In case any of you out there were wondering, my Husband actually responded to it well and has gotten into the habit of checking it to see what I might need help with that day/night.*)

Finished!!!!
Looks great don't you think!? Instead of posting a paper pad to it I decided to do something a little more green friendly, I picked up a fine tip wet erase marker and it works beautifully! But, because it is a clipboard it helps when we need to remember to grab something on our way out of the house, such as coupons or even the rent check! It was a fun project and came out so well! I've even thought of making a few to sell, what do all of you think?

I have also spent some time making some Birthday cards here and there, unfortunately I really don't have anything big to say about them. They are cute and were all very fun to make.

Another fun project I finished was a gift for a friend, I love thinking outside the box and one of my favorite projects from doing that is the upcycled 12x12 scrapbook albums! I take albums that have been used and abused and are ready to be trashed and I reinvent them into fun works of all art. You can see the first one that I made by following this link:

Another Fun thing going on right now is a basic card sale on the Facebook Page. Some of the items have been sold and I will update these photos as the items are sold, but there are still a lot of great cards up for sale and the Travel Mini Album is still up for grabs! :) So stop by and check it out!!

For now I think that pretty much covers it! Thanks for stopping by! I promise, more posts coming soon! VERY soon!!

BiiiiiiirthDAY

This is a new birthday card that I was just playing around with and it ended up being a fun and funky card that I actually really like.
I love the different colors and textures. Also, something that I have never done before, the belted closer, I have never done that before and I actually think I might have to try it out a few more times on a few more different cards.

Wedding Invite Samples

A while back I was asked to do up a few Wedding Invite Samples for a Customer looking for that special handmade touch for her special day. Her colors were Purple, Lime Green, and Grey/Steel. I tried to stick as close to those colors as possible. I came up with three fun designs. Two standard horizontal fold cards and a tri-fold. These were a fun challenge and colors really presented a few troubles. Let me know what you think.
This one was actually my favorite, then again I am partial to the tri-fold cards.

This one is the one that she chose for her special day, what a fun and classic look for a card.

This was the last of my designs, it came out great.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you all again soon!

Easter 2010

I have been letting my pictures pile up and up and up! Seriously, I have stacks of pictures all over my scrapbooking desk! I know, unspeakable right! Well this week I am trying to get a few layouts done to help with my growing problem. =)
So I picked out a few of my fun Easter Photos from way back in 2010 of my three oldest babies! I have also always wanted to try a "scrap page" which is, for those of you that don't know, is a page that you try to use some of your favorite scraps from previous layouts. I think this one actually turned out cute for being my first time doing something like this.
Well, here is my fun and funky page!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy crafty day!

Scrapbook Fun

I got the chance to work on a few pages last night. The first one that I have to share with you is actually a 12x12 double layout. About a year ago I was asked to help my Sister in Law out with her son's school project, I happily agreed because we never get to hang out and who doesn't want to play around with paper with friends! Well, as a thank you her son picked out some flowers and gave them to me with a few sheet of window clings to help me with a project that I wanted to do for Valentines Day. Well, I have tried 3 different times to design a layout for the photos of these beautiful flowers. I think I have finally found the perfect layout for it. I went with two simple colors. Light Blush Pink and Plain White I stayed away from the big sheets of patterned paper, I think that was my big mistake from the first few attempts at getting these pictures scrapbooked. So I decided to go with a sketch to help get things off a little smoothly. It turned out to be very helpful and has made this spread a keeper!

Super sweet isn't it!! =) Thanks for stopping by! Have a Happy and Crafty Day!

Inspiration Monday

Today is another wonderful Inspiration Monday! This week I have decided to join in on another  wonderful challenge blogs.
The first one I would like to list is where the sketch for the card came from. This week I have decided to join in on the CPS Card Sketch Blog. Its a really fun sketch that was fun to try and play around with. =)

Isn't that just fun? Well on top of that I have decided to join the fun gals over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog once again. This week they are looking for Loads of Layers!
"“Loaded with LAYERS!”For this weeks challenge you will create a card that has 3 or more layers! Oh…and don’t forget to stamp! After all, we don’t call this STAMPtacular for nothing!"

Alright, lets take a peek at my little card.
I chose fun spring colors because that's just how I feel, its spring and things should be cheerful! =)

Inspiration Monday

Well, here we have it, another wonderful Inspiration Monday! This week I have decided to join the wonderful fun over at three of my favorite challenge blogs!
The first one that I would like to mention is where the color inspiration came from. Over at CAS-UAL Fridays they are having and opposites attract challenge, they have given us a color wheel where we get to enjoy the colors of each side of the wheel. I chose Yellow and Purple.
Then over at Cute Card Thursday they want to see how these wonderful spring flowers influence your craft projects, for this I picked out a stamp that I have actually never used. A beautiful floral scroll which I colored in in the purple and yellow colors.
I'm also throwing this project into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, they are enjoying a FREEBIE week where they would just like to see the new projects that we have all come up with. =)
Well, what do you say? Are you ready to see my lovely card??

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you enjoyed my lovely card!
