I love Thrift

 I really do, I love Thrift Stores, especially the ones that are here in my neck of the woods. I went on another fun trip to my Local DI (Deseret Industries) and found a few more great deals!
The first things that I have to show you are even going to surprise you! They are 12x6 MyWord Chipboard Album. I got two of them one that spells Party and one that spells Travel. They are both brand new right off the shelf! There were tons of other ones like Grade and Baby, but none that I could use.

I picked those up for a dollar each! I couldn't believe that these made it to the DI but I am so glad that they did!
The next items that I got were also a dollar each! The first one that I have to show you is a 2000 Stampin Up stamps set call Animal Valentines, brand new never been opened stamp set! They are so cute! I'm excited to use them!
Next up I picked up another Stampin Up stamp set, this one is a 2001 called Vogue Verses.
Isn't that amazing!!! I can't that believe all of these great items were brand new and had never been opened! All for only 1$ each! It just blows my mind away!

Happy Bargain Hunting, send me a comment about the ways that you save money when looking for new Scrapbooking items! One of my favorite things to do is sharing and trading with friends and families! I have no problem with "out of date" paper craft items, that's how I make it look easy to save money while getting new fun and exciting paper craft toys!

Another DI Trip

Hello all! I'm back to share with all of you what I have come across this weekend while at my local DI. (Deseret Industries) When ever you make a trip to a thrift store you know that you go only for the hunt, sometimes you walk away with something amazing and sometimes you don't. I got lucky this weekend and found a ton of Making Memories items! (This is the brand that I find the most while at my local DI, there must be a dealer in the area that drops off their out of season stock for cheap people like me to enjoy.) I found at least three dozen chipboard tags, some colored and some naked. I have found the tabs before but only just the rectangle and only naked. This time I came across the rectangle tags that have been color treated in light soft colors. I also found some naked circle tags. I have these metal tag rings that are meant for paper but these chipboard tags fit perfectly! They sure do look amazing as well!

I also found a Stampin Up Stamp set that had never been put together, never been mounted, never been used! Can you believe how lucky that is! This set if called Beautiful Boarders. I'm excited to use them and work out a few card layouts with them!

As most of you know, I have an amazing collection of decorative scissors so finding new ones that I don't have is actually pretty hard but I did find one that I don't have, its a fun wave design with little peeks and teeth.
I also found these amazing little chipboard alphabet squares in red and blue! I have always wanted to try these out but never been able to afford them, this is just another reason that I love thrift stores! I find that most of my beloved scrapbooking items have come from the DI, Dollar Store, or have been overflow from friends and family stashes! I am very blessed to be able to do what I love with the budget that I have!
Also, in a small box there was a bunch of metal letters, but only two different letters, a B and a D in lower case. Normally I don't go for things like this but I have a Doug and a Brydda in my life and I just had to have them!
Over all it was a pretty amazing pick!
That's right! All of this fabulous stuff for the low low low price of only 7.50$ the only other way you could get these kind of prices is if you hit a store on its very last day of going out of business and got everything 85% off!!!!! The stamp set alone only cost me a dollar.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderfully Crafty Day!

Saving some...

MONEY!!!!
Today I have a few amazing deals to share with you! The first one I'd like to show you is a wonderful deal that I found at my local Walmart. While out shopping for food and items for my 3 wonderful kids I decided to wander down the craft isle, normally I avoid this isle at all costs especially while I'm broke but I decided that my will was greater then my wants. I was doing great! That is until I saw these wonderful packages of Valentine themed chipboard punches by G*Studio. They were originally priced at 2.99$ each but were on clearance for just .20 Cents each!! They had two different styles so I grabbed one of each and left the isle happy that I stuck to my guns and still got a great deal on awesome new chipboard!
The next Bargain that I would like to share with you is one that I found while at Smith's picking up a few items that were on a better sale then Walmart and since it was on my way home I didn't mind stopping by. They still have two carts filled with tons of Valentines Day items! I have been looking for a new way to jazzy up my "In A Rut?" jar and what I found was perfect!
A set of 20 sticker pods, although I have no need for the stickers I know of a ton of little kids that would love to get their hands on them! I ended up buying two boxes at 75% off! What a great deal!
Well, my old way of doing my "In A Rut?" jar was a few folded up index cards with the inspiration ideas and challenges written on them. I didn't really care for that idea so I chose to do something else with it! This is what I have come up with!
I chose pink and green bright colored paper to write my inspiration and challenges on, then placed them inside the sticker pods so you can read them without ever opening the pod up! I like this a lot better, its more neat and clean! Also if later on I decide that I don't like this either these Pods would be great for all of the little Nick knacks that go along with Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting!
 Now time for my usual DI finds! I haven't been to the DI in a few weeks now but I did find a few wonderful finds on this trip! The first is a fun little set "Country & Farm" Rub-Ons from First Impressions by Provo Craft! They are super cute and will look great on a few Kitchen Projects that I have in mind the price was great as well! Only 1.50$ for both!

Also while at the DI I found this little gem, they only wanted .10 cents for it! I totally jumped at it!
I have another Item that I picked up at the DI for only 1.50$!
I know, its really gross right now but I have big plans for it! I can't wait to get started on making it dazzle!
Well, that's all I have for now! Have a Wonderfully Crafty Day!

Deals to DIe for

Good Evening! I just wanted to post another fun and quick bargain savvy picture filled post!
So as many of you know I live in a place where I have access to the wonderful thrift or second hand store called the DI (Deseret Industries) available to me. I usually walk away with a great find for under 2$. I love going to the DI to shop for new a fun scrapbooking/paper crafting items. I have found several 12x12 Scrapbook albums, and paper stacks. I have found a few decorative scissors, and even die cuts and brads. On this visit, which happened about two weeks ago, I found some amazing items! Even something that I have never seen in person before!
First, lets start with what I normally find a buy, I love decorative scissors! I first became addicted to them when a Friend bought me a set of 7 as a gift for starting into the Scrapbooking world. (I totally love you Becca!) Since then I have been on the hunt for great deals on them, not too many places actually have sales on these scissors. They are pretty cheap to begin with but, you know me, I am all about saving that penny if I can. I have actually only bought one decorative scissor at full price from a Roberts Arts and Crafts. Its call Cloud, essentially its a mid sized scallop cut. Its one of my favorites and I use it all the time. I have even found a smaller one at the DI for .50 Cents! Anyway, on this trip I came across a decorative scissor that I have never ever seen before. I have seen the design several times in any number of boarder punches but never in scissor form! I was so excited that I waisted no time grabbing it and holding it tightly in my hot little hand. I have used it in the last two card challenges.
Super cute huh!!

Well, now on to the really fun stuff! I love chip-board but I am never willing or able to pay what most places want for chip-board so I am always on the look out for these, any shape and design. Naked? Decorated? It doesn't matter to me. I just love the stuff! I came across this awesome little set while looking at a stack of binders. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was perfect!

I don't really care for the Alphabet set, I'm sure it will come in handy somewhere down the line, but I just don't see it right now. I am however very excited about the two sheets of Flourish and odds & ends! I even popped one out and stamped it on today's Inspiration Monday post. I picked this set of over 1,000 pieces up for 1.50$

Next up, who ever goes into a thrift store and doesn't go in search of stamps is kind of crazy in my book! Stamps are crazy expensive! In a thrift store you can pick up a ton for way cheap. One time I got a large tote that was filled with 68 wood mounted stamps, most of which we Stampin Up stamps, for only 5$! It was amazing! This find wasn't that good but it was a nice find. Normally I stay away from the foam only mounted stamps but the quotes on these were just too much to let go! And for a dollar I still feel that it was worth it.

Last but not least is something that I have actually never seen. These are fabric pockets from Making Memories, they have their own adhesive and are ready to go on any project. I picked them up for a dollar! I have seen paper ones used all the time in craft projects but never these fabric ones! I'm so excited to make a western themed page with a few of them for a frequent Customer! Go ACES WILD!!
I love going to the DI, you never know what you are going to walk away with! I have found so many wonderful and amazing things there!
Thanks for stopping by!

Again to the DI

I love going to thrift stores especially our local DI! This time at the DI while wondering around the ??Craft?? section, if you can really call it that. Its really just where I pile up all the binders and sewing patterns and clip boards, but, if you are lucky enough that is usually where you find the Scrapbooking and paper craft items. I hit the JACKPOT this time! Usually when you find things at the DI they have been opened and used and items are missing, this trip I found 5 amazing items that have never been opened! I couldn't believe my eyes! I had to stop myself from jumping for joy, seriously! The first item that I found was a complete set of crush pink chip board letters by Lush! Just under that was a brand new in perfect condition Stampin' Up Rub On set! Then after I had picked that up I saw just the corner of a red label. I moved the binder that was on top of it and got so excited I almost screamed again! I was a Pink Paislee Sweetness Rub On set that had never been opened or messed with and stuck to the back of it was a Basic Grey Wholly Cow! Rub On set that had never been used! Very pleased and excited by my find I decided to leave the isle before I freaked out, at the end of the isle I saw a small letter sticker and decided to investigate. The top package was opened and used but the one under that in perfect condition! Who doesn't love the Memory Makers Creative Letters sticker sets! So many uses! It was like digging for gold, totally worth it!
I love finding great products like these! For all of this I only paid 3.75$!!! It was an amazing find and I can't wait to go back to the DI and see what other treasures I can find under the grime!

Bargain Savvy-November

I actually have some amazing Bargains to share with you all today! In the past week I have received 90 4x6 photo prints and 1,000 1" x 2 5/8" labels completely FREE! I also picked up two design scissors and a sandwich bag full of premade Ribbon flowers for only 2$! Are you ready to see what and how I got all this great stuff for so Cheap?

Lets start with the items that actually cost me money. As usual I took a quick trip to my Local DI (Deseret Industries) in search of Scrapbook bargains. They usually don't have the items that I am looking for since its a donation center and not an actual store but sometimes they have amazing items for sale and this was one of those day! I picked up two decorative scissors, one is a mini stamp cut and the other is a small scallop cut. Fun and I didn't have either! These in the stores near me normally cost 1.99-2.99$ a piece! I bought them for .50 cents each and since this is a donation center they do not charge tax, only a flat rate. I also found a regular sized sandwich baggie filled with premade ribbon flowers/roses. It was filled to the top with these ribbon flowers/roses in a wide array of colors. I picked this up for only 1.00$ and got over 100 little ribbon flowers/roses! I don't have a standard cost for these but I'm sure that its a deal! A steal really. So for total I received all of this for 2$ exactly!

I also had a great coupon from Office Depot for 10$ any print and copy center purchase. So I went in to visit a few friends and to place my order for 1,000 black and white labels. I chose the size 1" x 2 5/8" because it is what fits my needs. This size is normally associated with return address labels. *Depending on your location you may have to pay for the labels and they will print on them for you. This coupon is only good for the next few days. I chose black and white because they are only .10 cents a print where as color costs .59 cents for each print. (BIG Difference!)

Now on to how I got 90 4x6 photo prints for free this past week to week and a half. I signed up for a new Walgreens photo account online just because they are doing amazing deals for 4x6 photo prints and since that is what I normally use in my Scrapbooks it seemed like the smart thing to do. I received 3 free coupon codes from Walgreens in my e-mail! The first was a code for 40 FREE 4x6 prints. I ordered online and asked for in store pick up because that is free! My whole order was completely FREE! I didn't pay a cent! A few days later I received a new coupon code for 25 FREE 4x6 prints. Again I opted for in store pick up which made my whole order completely FREE! Then, just a few days later I received another amazing 25 FREE 4x6 prints coupon code!! I ordered online and chose in store pick up and got it all completely FREE!!!! So, that is a grand total of 90 completely free 4x6 photo prints! These are the coupon codes that I used, they might just work for you! *But you can only use them once per account.
DRUGSTORE40 = 40 free prints
FREE4X6 = 25 free prints
FORU25 = 25 free prints

Good Luck in your frugal adventures!

Bargain Savvy!

Well Hello again! This is a post that I am hoping to be able to add to as the days and weeks go on. This past week I had the chance to enjoy an hour long walk through a Roberts Arts & Crafts store! While in there I noticed that they had some amazing deals going on! I only had 5$ and knew that I couldn't spend even a penny more so I went hunting through their bargains and their ad for possible coupons that I could use. I found two 50% off coupons that would save me 50% off any regular priced item in the store! I really wanted to get some more patterned ribbon to make bows with, unfortunately I had just missed their huge Premium Ribbon sale that made the all .99 cents, originally 1.99$. So I decided that I would buy two spools of floral ribbon and with my 50% off coupons I got them both for the price of one!
Later I found the Bo Bunny Cling Stamps section and found the most amazing stamp quote and I just had to have it! I am happy to say that it was on sale for 1.35$ originally 4.99$ Amazing right!
Then I went off to my favorite section of any store, Clarence! In that section I picked up 3 12x12 deluxe sheets of Patterned Card Stock for a grand total of .54 cents!

On my way out I found an ink spot from G*Studio in Silver! I've never seen a silver Ink Pad so I snatched it up! It cost me only .69 cents!
My grand total with tax and everything was only 4.88$! I stayed within Budget and got awesome stuff!
Know of any great deals out there in the Paper Craft World? E-Mail me and I will be more then happy to share the deal with all of my wonderful followers! Remember to always be Bargain Savvy when shopping in your favorite Craft Store!
